Dancing on Main Street 2009 - yes, we already planning!

'Celebrate Summer in Amherst' street banners set the tone for this greate summertime event for the entire family!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for 2009!!

We are actively seeking volunteers for this event on August 1, 2009. It takes many helping hands to plan and produce this event each year. If you can volunteer your time, we would be very appreciative! Call Executive Director, Teresa Gilles (440) 984-6709 and we'll give you the details. Each volunteer receives a complimentary tee shirt, free beverages, and is guaranteed to have a lot of fun. If you can participate during the event, call us, or volunteer online - right here!

  • Set Up Crew- 10 am to 2 pm

  • Beer Booth-  3 to 5pm, 5 to 7pm, 7 to 9pm, or 9 to midnight

  • Mike's and Wine Booth-  3 to 5pm, 5 to 7pm, 7 to 9pm, or 9 to midnight

  • Drink Ticket Sales-  3 to 5pm, 5 to 7pm, 7 to 9pm, or 9 to 11:30 pm

  • Raffle and T Shirt Sales-  3 to 5pm, 5 to 7pm, 7 to 9pm, or 9 to 11 pm

  • Trash Collection Crew-   6 to 8pm, 8 to 10pm, or 10 to midnight

  • Clean Up Crew-  midnight to 2 am

If you wish to be a small sponsor or individual  donor for the 6th annual Dancing on Main Street in August 2009, or would like more information about these opportunities, contact Main Street Amherst. Taverns and corporate sponsors should contact Main Street Amherst for your specific sponsorship opportunities; you will receive more information in the postal mail, as well.

Individuals are encouraged and welcome to make a personal donation in support of Dancing on Main Street. Simply go to the Donation page and do it! We will be very appreciative and your name will appear on our Dancing on Main Street Donor banner at the event.

 The 5th annual Dancing on Main Street Music Festival is in the books - take a look at how well it was received - thanks Amherst for another great year. We are all looking forward to the 2009 Dancing on Main Street event!

It was a HUGE success! Thanks to all who attended and volunteered their help!

 

The bands played from 3 PM until well past midnight to the delight of everyone . . . young and old alike!
