In addition to the tiered benefits listed above, all members are eligible for the benefits listed below :Liaison Work Main Street Amherst works with the City of Amherst, Lorain County Commissioners, Business/Building Owners and area Civic Groups to make sure the needs of our area businesses are served.Resource Library Main Street maintains educational and preservation information that is available for loan.Advertising Recognition in the community via a listing in our quarterly newsletter and a business spotlight article on our web site.Visitor’s Guides Members receive a highlighted listing in the Downtown Amherst Visitor Guide and a free listing in the Lorain County Visitor’s Bureau’s “101 Things to See & Do in Lorain County”, distributed statewide.Marketing We work to promote our downtown through logo recognition representing the entire area, and a consistent image campaign, we advertise through local television, radio and print sources. Members are eligible for reduced advertising rates in our newsletter, mailed to 11,000 homes.Festivals and Special Events In conjunction with many other groups, Main Street Amherst has helped develop or promote major festivals and promotions.
