Community Volunteers Needed

Main Street Amherst is currently looking for community minded individuals to join our committees and help plan and organize the special events that we present for the community each year. If you would like to get involved with Dancing on Main Street, or the new holiday promotion Miracle on Main Street, we would love to hear from you. Volunteers from all community sectors are needed to assist in planning, organizing, and implementing these special events. The events listed above are on the Main Street Calendar  -- how can you help us?

We must come together with community pride to promote and revitalize our historic downtown. It takes an entire community working together for Main Street to be the best it can be. Statistics show that a vibrant central business district will resonate throughout our entire city. Most businesses in the historic district are family-owned and operated, and when you shop local you are affecting the lives of families and neighbors from right here in Amherst. For every dollar invested in the downtown historic district, nearly eight dollars of additional revenue is generated into the area.

Main Street Amherst asks you to make a commitment to the future of our city by volunteering and making a difference. Volunteer Opportunities are available on our committees, in helping with special events, and assisting with the promotion and revitalization of Amherst. To Become a Member, to volunteer, or to get more information, contact the Main Street Director at (440) 984-6709 or email Our Director.
